Is this invoice generator really free, with no signup?
Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no limit on how many invoices you create — the tool runs entirely in your browser and the PDF is generated locally.
What should every invoice include?
At minimum: your business name and contact details, the client’s name and address, a unique invoice number, the issue and due dates, an itemized list of goods or services with quantities and prices, any tax applied, and the total due. Clear payment terms (like "Net 14" or a specific due date) help you get paid faster.
Is my invoice data private?
Yes. Everything — your business details, client details and the PDF itself — is generated entirely in your browser using pdf-lib. Nothing is uploaded to a server, so you can safely bill sensitive client information.
How should I number my invoices?
Use a simple, sequential, unique scheme you won’t repeat — for example INV-0001, INV-0002, or a year-prefixed version like 2026-014. Consistent numbering makes bookkeeping and tax time much easier.
Can I edit an invoice after downloading it?
The downloaded file is a flattened PDF, so it isn’t directly editable. Your form entries are saved automatically in your browser as a draft, though, so you can reopen this page, adjust any field, and download an updated PDF at any time.
