HandyBench

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This policy explains what information HandyBench ("we", "us") handles when you visit handybench.com, what third parties are involved, and the choices you have. We've kept it as short as the facts allow.

What you type or upload into the tools

Almost every tool on HandyBench — the text, PDF, image, calculator, generator and developer tools — runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The text, numbers and files you put into them are processed on your own device and are not sent to us or stored on any server. When you close the tab, they're gone.

A small number of tools need a server to do their job. They call our own API at /api/*:

We don't keep a database of these requests or of what you looked up. Responses may be cached briefly to stay within rate limits.

Information collected automatically

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data needed to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse — such as your IP address, browser user agent and the pages requested — under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We don't run our own analytics or tracking scripts.

Data stored in your browser

We use your browser's local storage for two conveniences only: remembering whether you chose light or dark mode, and saving your in-progress draft in the invoice generator so you don't lose it. This data stays on your device; you can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

Advertising and cookies

HandyBench is free because it shows ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the internet.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are shown a consent message, provided through Google's certified consent management platform, before personalized ads or non-essential cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time from the privacy link shown in that message.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data — for example under the EU and UK GDPR (access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (to know, to delete, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information). We don't sell personal information. Because we don't store data from the tools, most requests concern advertising cookies, which you can control through the links above or your browser settings. For anything else, email us and we'll respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

HandyBench is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
