Frequently asked questions

How does fancy text work if it is not a real font?

Each style uses different Unicode code points that happen to look bold, italic or cursive — it is not styling applied to normal letters. That is why it displays consistently in bios and usernames that do not support custom fonts or CSS.

Will fancy text display correctly everywhere?

Most modern apps and phones support it since it is plain Unicode text, not an image. Very old systems or fonts missing certain symbols may show empty boxes, and letters without a matching Unicode character (like squared lowercase or some small caps) fall back to normal text.

Can I use fancy text for page titles or headings?

Avoid it for real headings or body copy — screen readers often mispronounce or skip these Unicode look-alike letters, and search engines read them as unrelated symbols, not the actual word. It is best kept to casual bios, captions and chat.

Is my text uploaded anywhere?

No. Every style is generated instantly in your browser by mapping characters to Unicode symbols — nothing you type is sent to a server.
